Some horses have a way of making you smile without even trying. Pick A Genre — affectionately known as Flipper — is definitely one of those horses.

Flipper has a personality that is impossible to miss. He is playful, expressive, curious, and just a little bit goofy. He has a wonderful sense of humour and seems to have a talent for turning ordinary moments into something that makes you laugh. And that smile of his? It is simply unforgettable.

But underneath all that personality is a horse with an enormous heart.

Flipper has worked incredibly hard through his rehabilitation following a significant previous injury. He has now completed that chapter and is enjoying turnout while gradually being introduced back to work. Because of his history, his future is best suited to a quieter, low-impact lifestyle rather than a demanding athletic career. Trail riding, pleasure riding, flat work, and simply enjoying life are where we believe Flipper can truly shine.

He isn't necessarily the bravest horse in every new situation, but what makes him special is that he tries. Give him someone he trusts, some patience, and a little encouragement, and Flipper wants to do his best. Building that relationship with his person is what matters most to him.

Flipper also has limited vision in one eye, but it has not stopped him from enjoying life or being the happy, expressive horse that he is.

At Believe Beyond the Finish Line, Flipper gets to enjoy the simple things he loves — turnout, companionship, a comfortable stall, attention from his people, and the freedom to simply be himself.

He has already overcome more than his share of challenges. Now, he gets to enjoy the life he deserves.
